Atkinson Farm

An 8,000-square-foot barn built from reclaimed tobacco-mill timber, three fireplaces and two chandeliers, tucked into hundreds of acres of countryside just over the Virginia line.

Atkinson Farm sits on hundreds of acres of rolling countryside, with a long entrance drive leading past woodlands, streams, and large ponds. The Atkinson Barn was newly built using reclaimed timber from the American Tobacco Company and Dan River Cotton Mills, with a copper-top bar, three fireplaces, and two large chandeliers. A Lodge and Cabin on the property sleep up to sixteen guests, and the venue accommodates up to 400.

A big timber barn with high ceilings needs different power planning than a tent or a small chapel, especially with a guest count that can run up to 400. We size the system to the room and the crowd rather than defaulting to a one-size-fits-all rig.
